Def Leppard is setting the stage for a summer to remember with the digital release of a new song "Just Like 73," a prelude to their much-anticipated stadium tour with Journey. The track, which is sure to have fans chanting along in the stands, features a rousing guitar solo by the legendary Tom Morello.
The song is slated for a special seven-inch vinyl release on August 2nd. Fans can look forward to a unique color variant available exclusively through the band's direct-to-consumer store, while a classic black edition will hit all other retailers.
Joe Elliott, Def Leppard's frontman, describes "Just Like 73" as a song that "encapsulates a time that burned deep into our DNA." It's a celebration of an era that left an indelible mark on the band's identity and sound. Guitarist Phil Collen echoes this sentiment, recalling the transformative experience of watching David Bowie on television in the early '70s, an event that turned his musical world from "black and white to vivid technicolor." An animated video is set to premiere on June 20th at 10am (Central). The tour will kick off on July 6th in St. Louis.
