Stevie Nicks is done with Lindsey Buckingham

Stevie Nicks has declared that she is done with second chances for ex-boyfriend and former bandmate Lindsey Buckingham. In an interview with ‘Rolling Stone,’ Stevie revealed that the last time she spoke to Buckingham was on January 9th of last year at the “Celebration of Life” for Christine McVie, who had passed away the previous November. Reflecting on their tumultuous relationship, she said, “I dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could. You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances.”

Nicks recounted that the final straw came in January 2018 at the MusiCares benefit in New York. She had brought a song she had done with LeAnn Rimes, “Borrowed,” hoping to perform it with Buckingham. However, his behavior that night, including being unkind to Harry Styles, led her to a moment of clarity. She recalled hearing her parents’ voices in her head, urging her to end the relationship. “Between those two, I said, ‘I’m done,’” she explained. Despite their rocky past, Nicks wishes Buckingham well, acknowledging his talent and hoping he continues to make music and teach others.

Stevie also shared her thoughts on aging and her future plans. She humorously mentioned that she might live to be 95, although she isn’t particularly looking forward to it. Nicks is eager to return to other creative pursuits, including drawing, songwriting, and possibly creating her own perfume brand.

She also opened up about her health struggles with wet macular degeneration, which requires regular eye injections. The diagnosis has motivated her to complete her artistic projects, fearing the potential loss of her sight. Stevie is hoping to exhibit her drawings next year. She also mentioned the recent passing of Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie’s wife, Julie.
