Jeff Lynne is set to bring his version of Electric Light Orchestra to a close this summer with five shows in his native England. However, the rock ‘n roll legend isn’t retiring from music. In an interview with Mojo magazine, Lynne shared his excitement about the future, saying, “I am happy with what I’ve done, and the crowd reactions to the shows and the music have been amazing. This is not a farewell to music. I am excited to return to the studio full-time, which is what I love!” His passion for creating music remains as strong as ever.
Lynne's last album, Long Wave, was released in 2012, and since then, he has continued to captivate audiences with his timeless hits. In a remarkable achievement, ELO's classic song "Mr. Blue Sky" has surpassed a billion streams on Spotify. Lynne expressed his gratitude to fans, saying, "Thanks to all of you for making this happen for me. It means so much."
While 2025 marks the end of an era for ELO, it also signals a new chapter for Lynne as he returns to the studio full-time.
