Last year, Aerosmith fans were heartbroken when the band announced they were done touring due to Steven Tyler's larynx injury. However, there's still at least a glimmer of hope for a future performance. Bassist Tom Hamilton recently shared his thoughts with WBUR radio in Boston, expressing optimism about the band's potential return to the stage. "Steven's healing process is going really, really well, but it goes at its own pace," Hamilton said. "Maybe Aerosmith will do something in the future, but it's a big 'if', and the last thing I want to be doing is to try and push Steven in that direction. If we do anything in the future, it would come from him."
The band's last show was in Elmont, New York, on September 9th, 2023. It was during this performance that Tyler suffered a fall, resulting in a fractured larynx. This unfortunate incident led to the postponement of their entire tour for a year, and eventually, the tour was canceled altogether. Hamilton's comments suggest that the door isn't entirely closed on Aerosmith's live performances.
