KISS hits #1 again

Gene Simmons has something else to brag about—KISS has a number-one song, 46 years after its release. The iconic track, “I Was Made For Lovin’ You,” from their seventh album, 1979's ‘Dynasty,’ has topped Billboard’s Top TV Songs chart for December. This resurgence in popularity is thanks to its feature in the third season of the Disney+ series What If…?

The song was streamed 8.6 million times and had a thousand downloads, which also earned it the number-two slot on Billboard's Rock Digital Songs Sales chart for January 18th. This impressive feat shows that KISS's music continues to resonate with their vast audience.

Back in 1979, “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. Now, decades later, it's enjoying a resurgence once again.
