Kansas singer Ronnie Platt recently shared an update on his thyroid cancer diagnosis. In a Facebook post, Platt revealed that he met with his doctor on Thursday and is scheduled for surgery on March 4th. He expressed optimism about his prognosis, saying, "So far, the prognosis has been very good. I'm looking forward to getting this behind me and being back in the saddle as soon as possible. I appreciate the outpouring of support I've been receiving. Thank you."
Kansas had to make some adjustments in light of Platt's diagnosis. They postponed two shows and canceled another, but they are set to return to the stage soon. Their next appearance is on the Rock & Romance Cruise departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on March 15th, followed by more tour dates starting in April.
