Kevin Cronin made a memorable debut with The Kevin Cronin Band on Saturday at the Treasure Island Resort in Welch, Minnesota. The performance was a significant milestone for Cronin and his bandmates, who were met with an enthusiastic crowd that brought the same energy as an REO Speedwagon concert. On Instagram, Cronin expressed his gratitude, saying the show was "obviously very special to the boys and me" and praised the audience for their incredible support. He also hinted at more excitement to come, with the next show scheduled for April 25th in Lincoln, California, alongside their longtime friends, Styx.
The summer promises even more rock and roll as Cronin teams up with Styx and Don Felder for the Brotherhood of Rock tour. This collaboration is particularly noteworthy given the recent dissolution of REO Speedwagon. Last September, the band announced that due to bassist Bruce Hall's health issues and subsequent disagreements, they would cease touring as of January 1st, 2025.
Despite the end of REO Speedwagon, Cronin remains committed to his music and fans. With his new band, he aims to continue delivering the high-energy performances that fans have come to expect.
