Billy Idol has given fans a sneak peek of his upcoming album, Dream Into It, by releasing the first single, "Still Dancing." The song is a heartfelt reflection of his journey, from his punk rock beginnings to his current life. Billy shares that he's still looking towards the future and living the life he always envisioned.
In "Still Dancing," Billy reminisces about his early days in London, living in squats or crashing at friends' apartments with all his belongings in a plastic bag. Despite being told by everyone around him that his dreams were unattainable, punk rock provided him with an opportunity. Surrounded by people who shared his deep love for music, he decided to throw caution to the wind and fully commit to his passion. This unyielding belief in his music has been his guiding light, even through moments of self-destruction.
The album, Dream Into It, is Billy's first release since 2014's Kings & Queens of the Underground. Set to drop on April 25th on the late George Harrison's Dark Horse Records, the album features collaborations with Joan Jett, who will be touring with Billy this summer, Avril Lavigne, and Alison Mosshart from The Kills.
