Bono is the focus of a new documentary by Apple Original Films. Titled Bono: Stories of Surrender, the film takes viewers behind the scenes of his 2022 one-man show, Stories of Surrender: An Evening of Words, Music and Some Mischief…. This show was a unique blend of storytelling and music, created to support his memoir, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story. The documentary features footage and performances shot at New York's Beacon Theatre.
The film will premiere worldwide on May 30th on Apple TV+. For those looking for an even more immersive experience, an enhanced version of the film will debut the same day on Apple Vision Pro. This marks the first feature-length film available in Apple Immersive Video, recorded in stunning 8K with Spatial Audio to create a 180-degree video experience that places viewers right on stage with Bono.
In conjunction with the film's release, an updated and abridged paperback version of Bono's memoir will be published. This new edition includes his reflections on the show and a fresh introduction he penned.
