A demo tape believed to be a Beatles audition recording has surfaced at Neptoon Records, a Canadian record store. The store’s owner, Rob Frith, took to social media to share his incredible find, posting a video of the tape playing. The recordings are thought to be from the band's Decca Studios sessions in January 1962.
Frith expressed his astonishment on Instagram, saying, "After hearing it last night for the first time, it sounds like a master tape. The quality is unreal. How is this even possible to have, what sounds like a Beatles 15 song Decca tapes master?" The clarity and quality of the tape have left many wondering about its origins and how it ended up in a record store in Canada. This find could potentially be a significant piece of music history.
