Mick Jones, the legendary founder and guitarist with Foreigner, has just released a new song titled "Shelter From the Storm" in recognition of April being Parkinson's Awareness Month. Jones, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's about 12 years ago, shared that the diagnosis came as a real shock. Despite this, he continued to tour with Foreigner until a few years ago when the disease began to affect his ability to play guitar.
Jones hopes that his new song will raise awareness about Parkinson's disease and encourage listeners to support The Michael J. Fox Foundation. He has created a team called MJ's Shelter From the Storm and is urging fans to make donations to help fund research for a cure. Jones is honored that his friend Michael J. Fox will unveil "Shelter From the Storm" at the Unity Walk this Saturday.
