Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood have been discussing the possibility of a Faces reunion for years, and now that dream is edging closer to reality. According to drummer Kenney Jones, the band has recorded 11 songs at Wood's London studio. In an interview with The Telegraph, Jones said that while not all the tracks will make it onto the album, most of them are promising. He hinted that the album might not be released this year but is likely to come out next year, as the band members are juggling various commitments, including tours with The Rolling Stones and Stewart's solo performances.
Jones also revealed that Jools Holland, who collaborated with Stewart on last year's Swing Fever album, has contributed to one of the new songs. Besides the album, fans can look forward to a documentary about the band, which is currently in the works.
The last album released by the Faces was Ooh La La in 1973, and their most recent public performance was at the Brit Awards in 2020.
