Duran Duran are back in the studio with their longtime collaborator Nile Rodgers. The band recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram, showing themselves alongside Mister Chic himself Nile Rodgers at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The caption read, “Working with our good friend Nile at Abbey Road Studios this weekend. Stay tuned…”—a clear sign that something special is in the works.
Rodgers, who also posted the same photo, added, “We had as much fun working yesterday as ever!” This reunion marks another chapter in a creative partnership that dates back decades. Nile Rodgers first teamed up with Duran Duran in the early '80s, remixing their hit “The Reflex” and producing “The Wild Boys” for their 1984 live album Arena. Since then, he’s co-produced four of their albums: Notorious (1986), Astronaut (2004), Paper Gods (2015), and Dance Macabre (2023).
Nile Rodgers & Chic will be joining Duran Duran on stage for their upcoming U.K. and Ireland shows this June and July.
