Heart tour hits a snag

Heart’s summer tour hit an unexpected snag last weekend in Atlantic City, New Jersey, when a shocking discovery was made the night before their May 30th show at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino—some of their prized instruments had been stolen right off the stage.

Among the stolen gear was a truly irreplaceable piece: a custom-built, purple sparkle Fender Telecaster baritone guitar with a hand-painted headstock, made especially for Nancy Wilson. Also missing is a vintage 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin, a beloved instrument that Paul Moak has played for more than 25 years. “These instruments are more than just tools of our trade — they’re extensions of our musical souls,” Nancy shared. “We’re heartbroken, and we’re asking for their safe return—no questions asked. Their value to us is immeasurable.”

A reward is being offered for any information that leads to the recovery of the instruments. Tips can be sent directly to tour manager Tony Moon at TonyMoon@me.com. Sadly, Heart now joins a long list of iconic musicians—Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Peter Frampton, Graham Nash, Mark Farner, and Randy Bachman—who’ve also suffered the loss of cherished instruments. Despite the setback, the tour rolls on. Heart will rock the Texas Trust C.U. Theatre in Grand Prairie on June 14th.
