Barbra Streisand is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most powerful collaborations of the year—her new track “One Heart, One Voice” featuring Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande. In an Instagram post, Barbra shared that the song became “a vehicle for three strong-willed women to join in voice and purpose.” She added that when the idea of teaming up with Mariah and Ariana first came up, it felt “inevitable” that the song would carry a message of female empowerment.
The track is featured on Barbra’s latest album, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two, a follow-up to her 2014 release Partners. Mariah called the collaboration “a huge honor,” while Ariana, clearly starstruck, said she’s been a lifelong fan of Barbra’s and reflected on how far she’s come—from sitting in the audience to now sharing the mic with her idol.
The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two also features tracks with Paul McCartney, Josh Groban, Hozier and several others.
