Cyndi Lauper is hitting the road one last time as she kicks off the final leg of her ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour’ this week. The tour, which began last October, has been a celebration of her legendary career and a heartfelt goodbye to her legions of fans across the country. This summer stretch includes 24 shows, wrapping up with two grand finales on August 29th and 30th at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
Throughout the tour, Lauper has used her platform for more than just music. She’s raised about $200,000 for the Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights fund at the Tides Foundation in collaboration with FanDiem. At 72, Lauper is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, she’s capping off this milestone year with a major honor: induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The ceremony is set for November 8th in Los Angeles.
