Led Zeppelin is marking the 50th anniversary of their iconic double album ‘Physical Graffiti’ by releasing a brand-new EP on September 12th. The release, titled ‘Live,’ will also contain a reissue of the original Physical Graffiti album. The EP features electrifying live versions of “In My Time Of Dying” and “Trampled Under Foot” from their legendary 1975 shows at Earl’s Court in London, as well as “Sick Again” and the epic “Kashmir” from their 1979 Knebworth performances. These recordings were previously only available on the 2003 Led Zeppelin DVD, making this their first appearance in an audio-only format.
The video of “Trampled Under Foot” from the Led Zeppelin DVD has been remastered and is now streaming on YouTube. Meanwhile, the reissue of Physical Graffiti is based on the deluxe Edition three-LP set first released in 2015, which included a bonus LP of previously unreleased material.
Originally released on February 24th, 1975, Physical Graffiti remains a towering achievement in rock ‘n roll history. This year, it was certified 17 times platinum by the RIAA.
