Joe Walsh is bringing his beloved VetsAid concert home to Wichita, Kansas, for the first time ever on November 15th at the INTRUST Bank Arena. The legendary guitarist and Eagles member has curated a powerhouse lineup for the event, including his bandmate Vince Gill, Americana rocker Ryan Bingham, and the soulful Texas Gentlemen. Walsh himself will perform a special set backed by blues powerhouse Susan Tedeschi, her husband and guitar virtuoso Derek Trucks, and the ever-soulful Nathaniel Rateliff. More surprise guests are expected to join the celebration, making this one of the most anticipated VetsAid shows yet.
Walsh shared his deep personal connection to Wichita, saying, “It’s been a long-term goal of mine since we began VetsAid nearly 10 years ago to bring it all home to my native Wichita to serve Kansan veterans and their families.” He reflected on his roots, noting, “It’s where my parents were both born and are buried, where I was born and where I will always feel a deep connection and sense of heritage and responsibility.” With pride, he emphasized the significance of sharing this experience with close friends who also happen to be some of the greatest American musicians around.

Since its inception, VetsAid has distributed over $4 million in grants, and this year’s funds will go exclusively to Kansas-based or Kansas-operating organizations. As a Gold Star son, Walsh’s commitment to veterans is deeply personal—his father, Lt. Robert Newton Fidler, died while on active duty when Walsh was just 20 months old. Past VetsAid concerts have featured icons like Ringo Starr, Don Henley, James Taylor, ZZ Top, and Dave Grohl.
