Lionel Richie is trading concert stages for theaters this fall as he hits the road—not with a tour of songs, but with stories. Lionel is promoting his upcoming memoir, ‘Truly,’ not in bookstores but in iconic venues across New York City, Austin, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Each ticket includes a copy of the book, and instead of a musical performance, fans will get an intimate Q&A session where Lionel dives into the personal moments that inspired him to write his book. “We’ll revisit my intimate, deep, and candid moments,” he says, promising a heartfelt look into his life.
The tour kicks off on September 29th at Town Hall in New York City, where Robin Roberts, co-host of Good Morning America, will join Richie on stage. Then it’s off to Austin’s Paramount Theatre on October 1st, where iHeartRadio’s own Bobby Bones will lead the conversation. The next night, October 2nd, comedian Sebastian Maniscalco will bring his signature humor to the Encore Theatre in Las Vegas. Finally, Jimmy Kimmel will wrap things up on October 6th at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles
The memoir, Truly, named after Richie’s 1982 debut solo single, will be officially published on September 30th.
