Lou Gramm has been teasing Foreigner fans with news of his upcoming solo album for a while now. First promised for release last fall, then bumped to this fall, the album—titled ‘Released’—is now officially scheduled to drop next April. It’s a collection of songs that Gramm has finally finished off, marking his first full-length release since The Lou Gramm Band in 2009. The title Released carries a clever double meaning, as Gramm explained: “It’s releasing these old pent-up songs too. So, it’s double entendre.”
Lou describes the album as a “very creative rock record” with a blend of R&B vibes, hard rock energy, and a few standout ballads. Fans won’t just be getting new music—they’ll also get to see Gramm live. He’s planning a tour to support the album next spring and summer, even though he said back in 2019 that he was winding down his time on the road. Lou says next year’s tour will be his final lap.
Before that farewell tour kicks off, Gramm will reunite with Foreigner for their 50th anniversary show on September 6th at Ellis Island in New York City. He’ll also join them for their December tour.
