Donald Fagen made a rare public appearance Saturday night, nearly a year after the death of his wife, Libby Titus, who passed away last October 13th. Fagen joined the stage at The Helm Family Midnight Ramble, held at the late Levon Helm’s home studio in Woodstock, New York. He played keyboards and delivered an organ solo during a performance of “The Weight”—an iconic classic from Helm’s group The Band.
Before marrying Fagen in 1993, Libby Titus had a long history with Levon Helm, both personally and professionally. The two had a daughter, Amy Helm, who has since become a respected singer-songwriter in her own right.
Amy Helm was also part of the evening’s show honoring the legacy of Levon Helm, and Donald Fagen.
