Ronnie Wood has confirmed what we’ve been hearing for a while now. The Rolling Stones will release a brand-new album in 2026. In an interview with The Sun, Ronnie shared, “Yes you will be getting a new album next year. It is done.” This upcoming release will mark the legendary rock band’s 25th studio album and serve as the follow-up to 2023’s Hackney Diamonds, which was met with critical acclaim and commercial success.
In addition to the album news, Wood also hinted at the possibility of another tour, saying, “Yes we are hoping to do some dates. Hopefully we will be back out there but I am still waiting to find out myself.” While details remain under wraps, the prospect of seeing Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Wood back on stage will energize their legions of fans.
The band has also been active in the studio this year, recently releasing a new version of Shirley & Company’s “Shame, Shame, Shame” featuring new overdubs. Jagger posted a video of himself and Wood in the studio alongside touring backup singer Chanel Haynes, captioning it, “We first tried out 'Shame Shame Shame' around the time of Black and Blue… it was fun to return to it now and add something to it!” The reissue of Black and Blue will be released on November 14th.
