We all know Thanksgiving is about family, gratitude and certainly food. The real vibe around this cherished American holiday can be totally different depending on your location. WalletHub just released their annual list of ‘Best Places to Go for Thanksgiving’ and Texas is THE spot.
WalletHub compared 100 hundred cities across the U.S. considering 18 factors, including holiday meal cost, flight delays, volunteering rates and the weather. Texas landed four cities in the top 10! San Antonio is #1 on the list of ‘Best Cities.’ The Alamo City has several top-rated restaurants, affordable Thanksgiving meal costs and November weather on average is fantastic in South Texas. There are also many different Thanksgiving-related activities in San Antonio, including the River Walk.
Other Texas cities landing in the top 10 include Dallas at #4, Irving at #6 and Plano at #7. We love being at home here in Central Texas for Thanksgiving at my house, but if you’re looking to travel for Thanksgiving this year without worrying about airports and flying, a trip to either San Antonio or the D/FW metroplex could be well worth your time. Here’s yet another reason there’s no place any better to live than Texas. Happy Thanksgiving y’all!
