Ready for some big Beatles news? The updated version of the Fab Four ‘Anthology’ documentary will debut on Disney+ next week on November 26th. You’ll get parts one, two and three. Then you can get another helping of Beatles nostalgia on Thanksgiving Day with parts four, five and six. The grand finale, parts seven through nine, will begin streaming next Friday, May 28th.
The ’Anthology’ documentary was originally released thirty years ago in 1995, believe it or not. It is still one of the most highly regarded and well received of all the documentaries ever made about The Beatles.The film has been restored, expanded and upgraded to nine parts. The expanded ninth chapter goes back to 1995 when McCartney, Harrison and Ringo reunited and worked on John Lennon’s “Free As A Bird” demo.
There’s a companion album out this Friday titled ‘Anthology Collection.’ It packed up with 13 previously unreleased demos, session recordings and rare gems we should enjoy.
