Foreigner fans got a cool deluxe reissue of the band’s iconic ‘Foreigner 4’ album last year and now comes word that ‘Head Games’ from 1979 could be next. Foreigner bassist Jeff Pilson says they’ve uncovered unfinished tracks from the original sessions, and there’s enough to include on a reissue.
Pilson says that Lou Gramm is especially fired up about the discovery, hinting at “some real good special surprises.” One of those surprises is an unreleased song that never got its guitar solo back in 1979. That missing piece is finally being added by a “very perfect” and very famous player—a longtime friend of Mick Jones—although Pilson’s keeping the name under wraps for now.
Last year’s deluxe edition of 4 included the newly completed “Fool If You Love Him,” which was finished decades after Jones and Gramm first wrote it, with Lou adding a new verse and fresh vocals.
