The Guess Who are coming back to America with a lineup that reunites original members Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings, who helped drive the band’s late‑’60s and early‑’70s success on “American Woman,” “No Time,” and “These Eyes.” For the first time in 23 years, they’re launching the 23‑date U.S. Takin’ It Back Tour this summer.
Speaking aboard the Rock Legends Cruise, Bachman said they’ll wrap up the Canadian leg of their tour in May and June before hitting American amphitheaters this summer, including a stop at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on August 9th. They’ll be joined by Don Felder, formerly of the Eagles.
After the tour winds down, Bachman will switch gears back to his other commitments, including a new round of dates with Bachman‑Turner Overdrive — this time without Fred Turner, who has retired from the road. Bachman joked, “I’m in two bands this year. It’s like Paul McCartney and Wings and The Beatles. Not that I’m Paul McCartney, but I’m spreading it out to two bands.” Between The Guess Who and BTO, Randy Bachman was responsible for a dozen radio hits during that era. It’s good to see them still out rockin’ the road.
