Ringo Starr is hitting the gas on his second country album, Long Long Road, teaming once again with producer T Bone Burnett—who helped with last year’s country album Look Up. This new record features collaborations with Sheryl Crow, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Sarah Jarosz, and St. Vincent, giving it a wide-open sound.
The album features 10 tracks, including the first single “It’s Been Too Long,” now streaming everywhere with a video. Ringo says he feels “blessed” to be working with Burnett, calling it one of those rare right-place, right-time moves. After Look Up, Ringo says this follow-up “just sort of happened,” as naturally as a song finding its groove.
Ringo says the album’s title Long Long Road is a nod to the journey he’s been on—and the one he’s still rolling down. The full album will be released on April 24th.
