Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood took their time behind the microphone on BBC Radio 2’s ‘Tracks of My Years’ show just one week after Paul McCartney. The two legendary Rolling Stones stepped on the show with a bit of a different take. Instead of picking songs, the show lined up cuts from The Stones, Muddy Waters, and Chuck Berry to get the reaction from Jagger and Wood.

One of the highlight moments came when program host Vernon Kay called Mick a “show off”—and Jagger owned up to it. Mick said you’ve got to be an extrovert, full-on energy, all-in with the crowd. He also said there was no hiding, no shrinking back. A front person has to connect, feed off the audience and become part of the moment.

Mick and Ronnie were also there to push the buzz for The Stones’ upcoming album ‘Foreign Tongues,’ which will drop next month on July 10th. This will be the first new Stones album since ‘Hackney Diamonds’ back in 2023.
