George Michael's family asks fans to stop leaving flowers and candles

GEORGE MICHAEL:  Family wants memorial removed

George Michael's loved ones are asking for a little less love from fans -- and are pleading that they stop leaving flowers and candles outside the singer's pair of British homes.

Michael's family posted a note on his still-active website, saying "We’ve been touched by your many tributes celebrating and remembering Yog, reminding us how very much he is missed and loved. However, we feel we cannot expect our Hneighbors to continue to accept as normality, the memorials so personal to you all although, we do appreciate your recent efforts to minimize their impact."

The estate has asked that fans stop leaving gifts at the two homes by May 27th, when the grounds will be cleared. They also suggest that people donate to charity in Michael's name instead.
