PRINCE: Family sues late singer's doctor for failing to intervene
Prince's family has sued his doctor for failing to treat his opioid addiction.
Nearly two-and-a-half years after the musician's death, a suit claims Dr. Michael Schulenberg and several others missed "an opportunity and duty... to diagnose and treat Prince's opioid addiction, and to prevent his death."
Walgreens, which operates two drug stores where Prince got prescriptions filled, was also named in the legal action.
The Nelson family is seeking damages of more than $50,000. Doctor Schulenberg's legal representative calls the suit "meritless" and defends the care given to Prince. (London Telegraph)
