Winning the lottery is something most of us won’t have the pleasure of experiencing, but one North Carolina man is reeling from winning a million dollars … for the second time in less than two years.
To make it even more unbelievable, he bought both tickets at the same place!
Terry Splawn of Concord bought his first winning ticket at Sam’s Mini Stop in April 2017, and less than two years later, he won on a scratch-off ticket from the very same store. He recently claimed his winnings, opting for the lump sum of $660,000. After taxes, Splawn walks away with $424,506, and says he plans to put the money away for a rainy day.
“What are the odds of this happening?” asks the two-time winner of a million bucks. “I can’t believe I won the lottery not once, but twice!”
