Rickie Lee Jones has posted her cover of America's "Lonely People."
The video -- filmed in the musician's adopted hometown of New Orleans -- presents various incarnations of herself in an array of costumes amid multiple backdrops.
She says everyone needs to "make peace with the past incarnations of yourself. Don't live ashamed of who you were... Celebrate who you are. That is me now. That is [my upcoming album] Kicks. The subversive smile in a time when anger is the mantra of the masses."
Kicks -- an eclectic covers collection spanning artists ranging from Bad Company and Steve Miller to Bobby Darin and Dean Martin -- will be released June 7th.
Currently touring Japan, Jones next plays the U.S. on June 1st at Tipitina's in New Orleans.
