Billboard reports that Woodstock 50 could be bailed out by Virgin Produced, the entertainment arm of Richard Branson's Virgin Group. CEO Jason Felts is reportedly in talks with festival founder and producer Michael Lang.
Virgin is no stranger to music festivals -- the company produces the annual KAABOO in San Diego.
Lang has already lost two backing companies and the original site, so this is a long shot. He is still determined to stage the festival the weekend of August 16th at a location to be determined in upstate New York.
The acts booked for the event -- a lineup which includes Robert Plant, Santana, Dead & Company, The Killers, Jay-Z, Imagine Dragons and many others -- are still available if Lang can arrange a place for them to play.
