You’re going to want to check your ears, pillows, AND all your pets after this! Aaaahhh!
A Thai woman is recovering since the removal of a live tick from inside of her ear. Medical officials say the 50-year-old woman came into a hospital in northern Thailand, complaining of ringing in her left ear. A doctor examined the ear canal and found the bug there. It had bitten the area repeatedly. The tick was removed with a suction tool. Experts say the woman was lucky it did not lay eggs in her ear.
Apparently, she sleeps with her pets, and during rainy season ticks are plentiful. One crawled off of a pet and into her ear canal. The doctor says all animal lovers need to regularly bathe pets, especially in rainy seasons, before letting them sleep with you.
