More angry words in Rascals world.
Members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band, whose Once Upon a Dream reunion tour ended acrimoniously in 2013, are again taking sides, this time over ownership of the band's trademarks.
Steve Van Zandt, who organized and oversaw the 2013 tour and, more recently, produced Eddie Brigati's solo shows in New York, lashed out today at frontman Felix Cavaliere. Cavaliere currently performs with his own band, sometimes including original guitarist Gene Cornish.
Noting that drummer Dino Danelli "has joined the lawsuit as Felix and Gene attempt to steal the Rascals trademark from Eddie and Dino," the E Street Band mainstay says, "Anyone supporting Felix and going to his shows are participating in the destruction of the Rascals legacy. Felix is a sneaky two-faced selfish creep. Dino finally realized it."
