Mick Jagger happy rolling along with The Stones

Mick Jagger has gone on recording saying he “really can’t imagine doing anything else,” with reference to questions about retiring or whether the next Rolling Stones tour will be the last one.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, Mick said being part of The Stones is a "habit. I mean, that’s what we do. And also there’s that thing between us, like, ‘Who’s going to be the first one to get off the bus?’ You have to be kicked off or drop off, right? So it’s like that.”

Drummer Charlie Watts has a different take. He’s okay if the legendary band calls it quits:

"If it stopped tomorrow it wouldn't bother me particularly. I mean it could stop and that would be fine with me because I've had a good ride so far."

Keith Richards says, "Nobody ever expected anything like this, I mean, especially in those days a band, it was lucky to live two or three years and you hoped for a good time and that was that, you know."

While the No Filter tour is on hold, Mick and Keith are continuing to work on songs for a new Rolling Stones album. On that subject, Keith says, “I think we have five, six or seven tracks we’ve slowly been putting together... Right now, seeing if this [pandemic’s] going to go on, maybe we should think about putting them out in another way.”

The Rolling Stones are releasing a deluxe edition of their classic 1973 Goats Head Soup album today.
