AXS TV’s investigative documentary series Music's Greatest Mysteries will look into the one and only time R&B legends Prince and Michael Jackson shared the same stage -- and whether it actually fueled a rivalry, or worse.
The episode debuts this Sunday (November 29th) at 8pm (Central.).
There will be other new segments including the strange case of Gram Parsons, whose tragic 1973 death took a bizarre turn when his body suddenly disappeared from the Van Nuys Airport before it could be sent on to New Orleans. They’ll also cover the story behind the “Parental Advisory” label we saw on albums and tapes.
You’ll recall that beginning in 1985, artists like Dee Snider, Frank Zappa, Tommy Shaw and John Denver took on Tipper Gore -- the then-wife of the future vice president -- and the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) to fight for the right to rock uncensored.
