Lenny Kravitz is celebrating the works of music photographer Herman Leonard with a new photo exhibition. The rocker has curated an exhibit at celeb favorite Church Boutique in Los Angeles, California, which debuted on Friday.
Leonard has photographed jazz greats like Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, Miles Davis, and Louis Armstrong. Their photos will be on display, align with Leonard’s snaps of Kravitz, which will be auctioned off.
“Herman Leonard was an exceptionally beautiful human being who should continually be celebrated. He brilliantly captured the history of jazz in the making,” Kravitz says in a statement. “I was blessed to become his friend, and I am pleased to present this collection [of] iconic photographs at Church Boutique.”
