The United States Postal Service wants to make sure every letter to Santa Claus reaches the North Pole and gets the response it deserves. The USPS has officially launched the "Operation Santa" program.
Beginning on Friday, volunteer elves will be able to sign up to adopt a letter through the USPS website. Once volunteers are pre-screened, they will promise to write a Santa-approved response letter and make sure a gift for the child or family arrives by Christmas morning.
Santa has been extremely busy this year, so approved elves can “adopt” as many letters as they choose.
