Eddie Money’s estate is suing the hospital where he spent several of his final days. The late music legend’s estate has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against USC’s Keck Hospital.
The hospital – along with three doctors, Mark Cunningham, Leonard Clavijo, and John Anderson-Dam – are being sued for medical negligence and wrongful death. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Eddie’s estate claims he didn’t get proper medical treatment when he went in for cardiac problems, and that he ended up getting the pneumonia that contributed to his death.
Eddie died last year after being diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer. At the time, a source close to the singer said he died from complications related to a heart valve procedure.His estate is placing the blame on USC’s hospital and doctors.
