Joe Walsh has been spending a lot of time the last several months at his Los Angeles home working on his memoir, playing his guitar, broadcasting on his ham radio, working on his continuing radio show and reflecting on life.
Joe recently said, "I've had a lot of time to myself and that's not the rock star -- just myself. And I think all of us have had some time to look at ourselves and hopefully we can come out of all this better. I know I certainly can and I know some stuff I want to fix and pay attention too."
Joe talked about playing and practicing on his guitar every day:
"Practicing is like obsolete. I just try and pick up the guitar and play just to play because that's where new songs come from."
Joe talked about his show on public radio:
"I get to do whatever I want and I'm just going through all the vinyl music that I know -- things that I played on or things that I know about -- and share that with the audience. You know, I try and put my music together like a vinyl album. You know, you have side one and side two. I try and make the two hours like a journey. And it's wonderful because it's not men with ties that run it and a computer doesn't decide what you're gonna hear."
The Eagles (with Joe Walsh) are hoping to do a couple of shows in London in August, followed by U.S. dates in September and October.
