Former Van Halen bandmates Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony said there will be some sort of tribute to the late Eddie Van Halen during an interview on a New York radio station.
Sammy said, “It's gotta happen. Of course it's gonna happen."
He also said, "No one's really connected all the dots with everyone involved, but I have been told and I have read in interviews with various people involved — with Wolfie [Van Halen] and Valerie [Bertinelli] and Eddie's wife [Janie Liszewski] — they all said as soon as this is over, we're gonna get everybody together and do a...tribute, a thank you, a goodbye, a sendoff.” He adds, “That's an absolute must. I don't care if it takes 10 years, that will happen."
Michael added, “We've got to celebrate the music. So much great music."
