Tom Jones has gone on record saying he’s really glad he didn’t take early career advice warning him to change his “macho’ curly hair look.
The music icon was on BBC Radio recently discussing that he was warned that he wouldn't succeed because he was "too macho" and had what became his signature “curly hair” look.
Talking with Zoe Ball's morning show, Jones said, "They try to change you and mold you and get you to do what's going on at that time... I said, 'sorry about that but that's the way I am'."
Tom talked about how proud he is to be compared to another 20th century music giant and one-time 70’s Las Vegas rival. Jones said, "They said that 'the Elvis Presley style has gone.' I said, 'Not in my mind, not in my heart!'"
