Al Jardine has joined with Beach Boys Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and David Marks in treating fans to a new version of "Add Some Music to Your Day.” The song has just been released under the California Music brand.
This is the first recording for the legendary band this year as they celebrate their 60th anniversary.
Al says, "The song 'Add Music to Your Day' just seems to say it all. I love that song. And it reminds me of better days, shall I say? Wonderful days of a new generation of recording for The Beach Boys. And it's a great project for America; for Feeding America."
Jardine also talked about The Beach Boys celebrating their 60th anniversary this year:
"It's going to make a lot of people happy, I think. Sunflower and Surf's Up are going to be on that box set coming out this summer. A lot of good memories on that package, as well. So, yeah, it's a great way to kick it off."
Jardine also says the newly recorded song helps the band launch into a possible reunion this year:
"Absolutely, it's always good to be on the same page. You know, I'm looking forward to performing those songs at some point next year. So, that'll be nice, too."
