Ringo Starr returns with his first EP.Zoom Inis out today.
Ringo talked about the new release:
"The EP came about in a strange way. [My producer] Bruce Sugar brought a track over called 'Zoom In' that was written by a friend of his in the [San Fernando] Valley. And that's how we started. I thought, 'Okay, I'm gonna start me EP now,' because I'd been threatening after the last CD, only to make EPs, which, to me, was always four tracks. And then I'm finishing up the fourth track and [Toto's] Steve Lukather and Joe Williams came over. They said, 'We'd like you to hear this song.' And they put it on, 'Not Enough Love in the World,' well I just had to do it."
There are also three more songs for Ringo’s fans to enjoy: "Here's to the Nights," "Teach Me to Tango" and "Waiting For the Tide to Turn."
The album features members of Toto, along with Ringo’s brother-in-law Joe Walsh, Paul McCartney, Doors legend Robby Krieger, Dave Grohl, Benmont Tench, Ben Harper and Lenny Kravitz. That’s quite the collection of talent.
