Queen recalls more great moments in their history

Queen has had a lot of great moments over the decades and the legendary band has just posted EpisodeFour on YouTube of what they’re calling The Greatest to mark their 50th anniversary.

The band hit the road in late 1974 after having released three albums and after success on the singles chart and radio airplay. The band hit the road in support of their third album Sheer Heart Attack.

While in Helsinki, Finland on November 25, 1974, the band held a press conference with the usual entourage of journalists—along with 12-year old Juha Kakkar in the gathering.

The boy had asked Queen’s record label if he could get their autographs and was later invited to the press conference. It was a thrill for the youngster.

Decades later, Juha recently said of that day:

“The interesting thing is that the first band member I interviewed was Freddie [Mercury]. I mean I didn’t know he was the lead singer, he could have been the bass player or the drummer. But I happened to interview Freddie first and during my career in radio I’ve met a lot of big stars -- Robbie Williams. Rolling Stones, people like that. But still I think that nothing can top the experience that the first person you have interviewed, at the age of 12, is Freddie Mercury.”

That interview is featured in the latest episode of The Greatest.
