Marianne Faithfull has said that she may never sing again. The 60’s star and onetime girlfriend of Mick Jagger said she nearly lost her life after her battle with Covid-19 and is still suffering complications.
She’ll release ‘She Walks In Beauty,’ an album of 11 poems set to music. Much of the album was recorded before she fell ill with Covid. She did record some of the album after her recovery began, but post-Covid issues are causing concern that she may not sing anymore.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Marianne said she now lives with "very bad" after-effects. "It’s my lungs, my memory and fatigue. It couldn’t be worse."
Marianne said she utilizes an oxygen mask to breathe and suffers from chronic fatigue.
Faithful said she practices singing every week, but it's now "very hard. I love touring, and it’s breaking my heart that I might possibly not be able to do it again."
