The Rolling Stones will soon release footage and audio from their 2006 concert at Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach. The Rolling Stones -- A Bigger Bang: Live On Copacabana Beach has been re-mastered and will be out on July 9th in several formats, including DVD, CD, vinyl and digital.
The Stones will release a 5-song EP on May 28th as a preview featuring “Sympathy For The Devil,” “Wild Horses,” “You Got Me Rocking,” “Happy,” and “Rough Justice.”
The Rolling Stones: Rain Fall Down (Live on Copacabana Beach) / Rough Justice (Live In Salt Lake City) will also be released as a limited-edition 10-inch picture disc on the first Record Store Day on June 12th.
Talking about the 2006 performance, Keith Richards said, "Not that we're unused to playing some of the biggest shows in the world, but I must say Rio did take the cake.”
Mick Jagger also added, “It was amazing. It was a really good audience. They know how to enjoy themselves on those occasions.”
