Bob Dylan fans will get a treat when Chrissie Hynde releases her new album of Dylan covers on May 21st.Chrissie teamed up with Pretenders bandmate James Welbourne in recording the album.
‘Standing in the Doorway: Chrissie Hynde Sings Bob Dylan’ will feature Dylan standards like “The Summertime,” “You’re a Big Girl Now, “Tomorrow is a Long Time,” “Standing In The Doorway” and others.
Chrissie said, “Whatever Bob does, he still manages somewhere in there to make you laugh because as much as anything, he’s a comedian.”
She added, “He’s always funny and always has something to say. I called James and said, ‘Let’s do some Dylan covers,’ and that’s what started this whole thing.”
There will also be a documentary about the album airing later this month. “Tomorrow is a Long Time” will air on May 24th on Sky Arts.
