Beatles fans have been eagerly awaiting the documentary ‘Get Back,’ produced by ‘Lord of the Rings’ director Peter Jackson and there’s word that it may be delayed for a second time.
‘Get Back’ was originally scheduled to open in theaters last August 31st.It was then moved to August 27th of this year and now that may be pushed back.
A source involved with the project has said it is likely going to be delayed once again with things still “up in the air” because of the pandemic. The book that will accompany the documentary (according to Amazon) is currently scheduled to be published on October 15th.
The ‘Get Back’ documentary contains primarily unreleased footage shot during the making of the landmark Beatles album ‘Let It Be’ in 1969.
There’s no word from The Beatles about the status of the project.
